Telltale Games
At Telltale Games, I worked as a Cinematic Artist on a large number of episodic games, ranging from many different kinds of stories, genres, and intellectual properties. Each game had its own unique set of challenges and creative direction, and combined with a fast turnaround, sometimes spanning as short as 2 months, I was forced to learn different cinematic styles quickly and create cutscenes as efficiently as possible. I was responsible for the cameras, 3D layout placement of the characters, and final acting polish.
Storyboard and Final Side-by-Side
Whenever I could, I preferred sketching out my scene first after reading my scene’s screenplay to visualize what I need to do. Below is a post- cleaned up version of my original rough sketches for this scene, and what it ultimately looked like.
Animation by Mike Hall, Shogna Chang, and Kirsten Yamaguchi. Episode directed by Chris Rieser. Storyboards and final cutscene sequence including 3D layout and polish by me.
